If your car is used as a daily driver it should be washed (on average) once per week in order to remove loosely bonded contaminants from the surface of your paintwork.
Polishes contain compounds designed to remove scratches and swirl marks from the surface of your paint, whilst waxes protect your car with a clear, hard coating that resists attack from the elements.
Yes, Triplewax is suitable for use on all vehicles including Cars, Vans, Motorhomes and Motorcycles.
No, Triplewax shampoo has been formulated to be kind to paintwork whilst removing contaminants quickly and easily.

No, The upper phase contains surface-wetting attributes, which detach, lift and encapsulate dirt ensuring that it can be removed without scratching or marring the paint surface.
After rinsing off the shampoo, make sure to hand dry your vehicle to ensure a perfect finish on all surfaces, even on clear substrates.

Try a little T-Cut Original and a cloth to polish off the excess formulation left by the Scratch remover pen
No, neither product contains silicone.
Yes, T-Cut Color Fast is perfect on clear coats and solid colours.
We recommend the application of a car wax after using Color Fast Scratch Remover, to restore the original gloss to the treated area.
T-Cut Color Fast Dark Red is the best option
Wonder Wheels Colour Active would be the best choice as there is no need to use an aggressive product on new wheels.
This generally means the product has been over applied, to remove, use a clean damp sponge and plenty of water to remove the excess product.
Can be used for both exterior and interior windows. Usually only suitable for use on lighter dirt and are good to use to keep windows clean on a regular basis. For spray and wipe applications and therefore likely to remove more grime than your windscreen wipers and screenwash can manage.
Again this can be used both on exterior and interior windows and is perfect for when there is much more stubborn dirt. Glass Polishes contain abrasives and some solvents (neither will damage the glass) that will remove more stubborn grime such as fingerprints, sap, insects and tobacco haze.
To be applied on the outside of the window. This product applies a silicone layer onto the surface which helps to repel water. You would apply this after cleaning and drying the exterior windows. When driving at speeds of 30 miles per hour and above, the chances are you won’t actually require your windscreen wipers due to the high repellence of the formulation. It can be applied onto any of the exterior windows.
To be applied on the interior of the window. This product also applies a silicone layer onto the surface, however this works in the opposite way to the rain repellent in that it wets the surface out rather than repelling. Fogging and misting occurs when tiny droplets of water form on the glass which can often make it difficult to see. The applied layer of product allows these droplets to wet out giving clear vision. The antifog is usually applied after cleaning and can be applied on any interior window.
If you are unsure which coolant to buy for your vehicle you can enter your registration at www.carlube.co.uk “Which Oil?” section and it will tell you which Coolant your vehicle requires along with any other liquids your vehicle uses such as engine oils and transmission fluids.
For our concentrated Antifreeze products a 50:50 dilution ratio is recommended, however this can be altered dependent on the level of protection required.
All of our Bluecol Antifreezes and Coolants offer protection down to -36°c at the recommended dilution of 50:50.
When diluting our Bluecol Screenwash Concentrate with normal tap water and you live in an area of the country where hard water is common, minerals such as calcium found naturally in the water can result in the screenwash leaving smears on your windscreen after use. If you live in an area where hard-water occurs this can be avoided by diluting Bluecol Screenwash Concentrate with distilled or de-ionised water.
Bluecol Screenwash has distinct advantages over plain water, the most obvious is that screenwash will not freeze; water will freeze and expand in the winter months causing damage to your vehicle. Bluecol Screenwash is specially formulated to cut through dirt, grime, insect deposits, etc. which ordinary water cannot clean. This grime, if left uncleaned, has the potential to obscure the driver’s view of the road.
Winter is the toughest time of year for your wipers. With the almost certain likelihood of heavy rainfall and frost, as well as the risk of snowfall, wipers see a lot of action during the winter months. Having high quality wiper blades is of equal importance as having the right Screenwash during the winter months as both are required to keep your view from the driving seat clear in the time of year where vigilance whilst driving is of extra importance.
Coolant should always be changed according to vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations. This can vary from 2 years up to 10.
Yes, Bluecol Snow Socks offer a greater contact area between the tyre and the snowy road. In winter conditions this equates to better traction for your vehicle which means improved driving performance.
Bluecol Radiator Sealant is designed to mix with all coolants or anti-freezes already in the system.
Whilst standard Bluecol screenwash offers amazing cleaning power and temperature protection down to -36°C, Bluecol 3-in-1 offers these same properties with the addition of a De-icer to help clear winter frost and rain repellent to improve windscreen visibility in all wet weather conditions.
The product is designed to be reapplied every few weeks dependent on weather conditions, if you clean your car during this period it may be worth re-applying Bluecol Rain repellent afterwards.
Due to this products innovative design the Bluecol Car to Car Jump Start Charger can jump start any vehicle with a 12v cigarette lighter socket so long as the donor vehicles battery is in perfect working order.
Bluecol Snow Socks are specially designed to improve traction in snowy or icy conditions. This however means that these snow socks are not suitable for use when driving on cleared roads as the tarmac will damage the fabric so it is advised that the snow socks are removed once you have reached roads not covered in snow or ice.
Anti-freeze and coolant are often mistaken for two separate fluids required by a vehicle whilst in reality they are simply two names given to the same fluid, this fluid both cools the engine and prevents overheating and also prevents this fluid from freezing during winter months. De-icer is a different fluid which is used to clear the windscreen and windows of a vehicle from frost, ice or snow and can come in a handheld trigger bottle or aerosol or can be incorporated into certain Screenwash. Screenwash is a fluid which is poured into the windscreen washer bottle and contains cleaning agents to help keep the vehicle windscreen clear whilst driving and is also resistant to freezing.
The difference between these two Screenwashes is that they are designed to help clean/clear the windscreen of different season specific substances. An all season screen wash will contain cleaning agents which remove grime, dirt and insect deposits to ensure clear vision. A winter Screenwash, such as Bluecol 3-in-1 Winter Screenwash, will include specially developed de-icer to help maintain clear vision in snowy or icy conditions. Similarly Summer Screenwash, such as Bluecol 3-in-1 Summer Screenwash, contains specially developed bug wash to help clean the vehicle windscreen from bug deposits which are far more common in the warmer months of the year. These 3-in-1 screenwashes come with an added rain repellent to help drivers with the inevitable British rain which is likely to fall in any month, winter or summer.
The most common cause for this problem is overpainting the filler before it has fully dried. To avoid this from happening ensure you leave plenty of time for the filler to dry before overpainting. When using an emulsion paint it would be advisable to thin the first coat before applying, as the filler will generally be more porous than the surrounding wall this helps to avoid a patchy finish. As our fillers contain cement there may be issues when over painting with a pH sensitive emulsion paint, these paints are normally light blue and the high pH of the cement can cause shadowing as the paint dries.
Our All Purpose Filler is suitable for use both indoors and outdoors, however when applied in an external environment it will require sealing with an oil based paint. Water based masonry paints will not adequately protect the filled area.
Our powder and ready mixed fillers are perfect for use in indoor environments, our 2 Part Powerfils are especially suited for use outdoors where extreme conditions can occur
Yes, our 2 Part Powerfil is suitable for use on Fiberglass
As our powder fillers contain plaster they do not last when stored for long periods of time. The plaster in the formulation will reabsorb water over time and this leads to the powder becoming unworkable. We recommend using our powder fillers within 6 months of purchase.
Yes, our wood fillers can be used on wood which has become rotten. Before applying the filler ensure any rotted wood is removed, try to get as close to sound wood as possible. An alternative to filling rotten wood is using our Tetrion Wood Hardener, this will re-harden soft, rotten wood. Prior to using our Wood Filler or Hardener make sure the area is fully dry and remove any source of moisture.
Due to changes in legislation our paint stripper has had to change over the years, this has made it less aggressive but safer for you to use! The key when using this product is patience, working slowly over multiple applications.
When using our Tetrion wallpaper stripper it is essential that you score the paper as much as possible to allow the stripper to soak in and do its job. Wallpaper painted with emulsion paint will be more difficult to remove as the emulsion forms an impervious barrier, by scoring the paper and being patient the wallpaper will be easier to strip.
Our Tetrion Mould Cleaner works by killing the mould spores, this prevents the mould from spreading any further. It will not however remove any previous staining caused by the mould, the best chance at removing these stains is with a diluted bleach wash- however mould stains are notoriously difficult to remove so this still may not work. In that case overpainting with a mould-proof paint is the final resort.
White spirit will do an adequate job at cleaning some paints, mainly oil based paints, off of brushes. Our Tetrion Brush Cleaner is designed to improve on this cleaning capability and will also remove a wider range of paints.
A super glue, whether liquid or gel, is an extremely sticky glue which is suitable for smaller repairs. Epoxy on the other hand are a far more robust set of adhesives, which are suited for heavy duty or larger repairs. Epoxy repairs will also last far better in outdoor or extreme conditions where super glue would fail.
Yes, the liquid can be used as a standalone glue but it is far less strong than when used in conjunction with the powder.
The ‘rubber’ in the Tetrion Rubber Fix name denotes its flexible and waterproof nature. Whilst this does make this product perfect for repairing all things rubber it is also suitable for a wide range of uses where a high strength adhesive is required, especially where the repair will be subject to flexing or water.
These products are the same in terms of usability, they will both harden to the same high-strength bond. The difference is the doses are ready cut into easy to manage amounts whilst the Roll requires cutting to the amount you need to suit the repair.
Acetone is the DIY enthusiast’s best friend when it comes to removing glue from your hands. Although it may not remove all of the glue it will remove the bulk. Washing with warm soapy water, followed by a quick rinse in acetone (commonly found in nail polish remover) is the best route. Any remaining glue will shed from your skin over the next couple of days. If you have epoxy on your hands the same procedure is recommended but you may need to be more aggressive when washing in soap and water. A rag soaked in vinegar can also be used to soften any epoxy dried on your skin. For both all of our glue and epoxy products we recommend using gloves to prevent any accidental gluing of the skin, this will also save you the time spent washing and picking glue from your hands.
Acetone (commonly found in nail polish remover) should be all it takes to loosen a stubborn cap. After using the glue be sure to wipe any excess from the tip with a damp cloth to avoid the cap sticking in future.
Tetrion FlexiRap is not designed to be sticky. Its unique make-up means that it will self-seal when overlaid on itself. When using it in repairs ensure it is pulled tight when wrapped around the damaged object. Overlaying the previous layer with as much surface area contact as possible will result in the strongest seal.
Both our White and Blue masking tapes leave a straight finish when removed and neither should suffer from paint soaking through. Blue tape is recommended where the tape will be exposed to direct sunlight, such as on or around windows. The blue pigment in the tape helps prevent UV light from adversely affecting the finish, white tapes do not offer this advantage.
We would recommend AquaSlip Grease, as this product has a high resistance to water , but will still provide the lubrication and corrosion protection required in a grease.
